The Warwick Pony Club is situated 130km south-west of Brisbane, Queensland, Australia and is a member of the Southern Boarder Zone 21 which is Royal Blue amd Lime Green, and affiliated with the Pony Club Asociation of Queensland (PCAQ).
Warwick Pony Club was established in 1966, making it 43years young. The club creates a friendly and supportive learning environment for riders of all ages to learn the basics through to top levels, while having fun, making life-long friends and caring for their horse.
Our Pony Club is renowned for the versatility of the riders, providing all disciplines from Dressage, Showjumping, Eventing, Mounted Games, Sporting, Campdrafting, Polo, Hacking, Tent Pegging, Polocross, Team Penning and plenty more. Warwick riders represent the Club at any given chance, at monthly Rallies, from local Gymkhanas, to qualifying events for State Championships to representing Zone 21 at State Championships in all disciplines through to Nationals.
Mounted Games Update
Would like to CONGRATULATE Ben Eastwell, Callum Miller, Tim Burraston and Selena Madsen on their efforts on achieving a place on the Qld State Mounted Games Team.
Also the club would like to wish the best of luck to Tim Eastwell and Tamara Bondfield who have got selection tryouts in the next few weeks.
The National Mounted Games will be held 24th July in Nambour for both junior and senior, and team members will have a 4 day training camp prior to this.
PCAQ are looking for horses/ponies suitable to take to the Nationals to go into the horse pool of 110. Team Coach Russell Duncan has specifically asked for as many to come from the Warwick/Killarney area as he knows that ours are the best and most suitable.
Anyone who is not using their horse/pony that weekend and they think might be suitable please contact Kevin or Lorelle Madsen or
Horses to be less than 15.2hands. Transport will be provided.
Each horse will get a bag of feed, cap and possibly some other gift.
State Showjumping & Equitaion Champs
Would like to congratulate those who competed at Maryborough on the 8th, 9th, 10th & 11th April for the Pony Club State Showjumping and Equitation Championships.
These riders where, Sarah Stewart, Emma & Amy Whear, Selena & Tracey Madsen, Tim, Ben & Leesa Eastwell, Jessica Britt-Keen, Lachlan Miller and Kasey Chalton(stanthorpe).
Zone 21 Brought home a bunch of ribbions and a few Medals!
